About BraveTV

Since its inception in April 2020 as an immediate response to the COVID-19 pandemic to bring stories of hope directly to the homes of our audience, BraveTV has become an integral part of our virtual programming. BraveTV gives Brave alumni and friends of Brave an opportunity to share their stories on another platform, talk about their journeys with mental health and addiction, and offer support and resources to viewers who may find themselves in similar circumstances.

Having completed 28 episodes of BraveTV as a staff, we are so excited to welcome our new host, Lauren Hope! Lauren’s personal and professional experience make her an asset to this role as she will help This Is My Brave to grow the impact of its virtual content. Check out her bio below, and be sure to tune in to her first episode premiering on YouTube later this month! Welcome to the team, Lauren!

Meet BraveTV’s New Host – Lauren Hope

BraveTV

Lauren Hope is a woman on a mission to elevate the unspoken, unheard stories of others. As a former television reporter, Hope knows the power of storytelling to influence others and create real change. She lost everything after a suicide attempt in 2014.  Homeless and unemployed, Hope started sharing her story on her blog Good Girl Chronicles. It opened the door for her to become a story brand consultant, publicist, mental health advocate, speaker, and Registered Peer Recovery Specialist.  She also uses her magnetic form of storytelling as the host and founder of Spark of Hope Storytelling Night.

Lauren graduated from Regent University with a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communications. She is a board member of the Virginia Chapter for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and the Lived Experience Committee of the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. One day, she hopes to complete and publish a memoir of her journey and travel the country with her message. She currently lives in Chesapeake, Virginia. When she is not working, she enjoys playing with her emotional support animal, Boo and reading.

Lauren is also a Brave Alum Storyteller (Arlington 2018) and Producer (Stories from Home – Hampton Roads 2020).
