Tshea Skaggs is originally from Arizona, and was born with a rare disability known as Hemischzencephally, meaning “half split brain”. As a teenager, she endured up to 50 seizures a day, until she was able to have brain surgery in 1990. Throughout her adult years, she dealt with a double dose of TBI, Traumatic Brian Injury, and vision loss, as well as anxiety and depression. This was all a huge challenge to her, but something she is determined to overcome.
Tshea shares her personal essay in the This Is My Brave Lansing show in 2018.
