Shea Velez-Westphal shares her story about Depression

Shea Velez-Westphal lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and currently works in child welfare services. She has struggled with mental illness throughout majority of her life, and has been fortunate to have a strong support system that has helped her face her mental illness.

Shea performed her spoken word piece “The Storm” in the This Is My Brave The Corridor show in 2017.
