Ruby Bevan is a junior at Brandeis University in Waltham and is from Louisville, Kentucky. She is currently living with her parents in Louisville and taking Brandeis classes online. She is double majoring in Psychology and Health: Science, Society, and Policy. Ruby first experienced symptoms of anxiety at 14, depression at 15, and psychosis at 19. In 2019 she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, but after taking a Health Leave of Absence from Brandeis to work on her recovery, she is doing well. Ruby is in an a cappella group at Brandeis and loves to sing. In her free time she is playing Animal Crossing, thinking up new tattoo ideas, and listening to David Bowie.
