This is My Brave is Julie Urda’s first official performance as a storyteller. Julie is a professor of management at Rhode Island College in Providence, but she lives in Boston so she can pursue her avocation of acting, storytelling, and voiceover. Julie feels she has coped with anxiety and depression her whole life, though she was not diagnosed until she graduated from college. Her lowest point occurred in winter 2016 when she found herself needing partial hospitalization. With the support of many doctors and friends and a lot of hard work, she recovered fully and is now living her best life. She wanted to perform in This is My Brave to let people know that things do get better.
