Julia is a non-profit communications professional in Los Angeles. She is also an author, essayist, playwright, poet, performer and storyteller. Her work has been published in print and online literary journals. She has published two books, a collection of essays based on interviews with formerly homeless men and women, and an anthology of essays written by people living with mental illness. She is an advocate, proud to be a part of This Is My Brave, and continues to share her story about loving someone with a mental illness because so many of us do.
