Joseph is a Virginia native, now living in Bethesda with his wife Maeghan. Joseph had mental health challenges in adolescence and early adulthood including depression, anxiety, mania, and psychosis, and now, both as a peer support specialist and through events like This Is My Brave, he takes the chance to help other people going through similar experiences make sense of them, know they’re not alone, and have the courage to speak up.
