Jason Wright performs “A Patient Speaks Up”

Jason Wright is a Certified Peer Specialist and the founder and editor of Oddball Magazine, an online poetry and arts magazine that showcases art and poetry from all over the world. He is the co-host of the Oddball Show podcast. The Oddball Show podcast interviews poets, artists, musicians, and mental health advocates. Jason is a member of NAMI and a regular In Our Own Voice speaker, which allows him to speak his message of ending stigma to colleges, CEO’s, and hospitals. He is grateful to be a part of the This Is My Brave family, and is excited to have the opportunity to perform his poetry for you. He hopes that the audience will learn something from these stories tonight and that these stories shift perspectives and opens minds a bit wider towards those who live with a diagnosis. His piece “A Patient Speaks Up” is centered on the language that is commonly used in clinical settings. He hopes you enjoy the show.
