“Be the person you needed when you were younger.” Erica Nicole is a psychiatric nurse & nationally ranked poet who lives her life by this quote. She has found healing in poetry and hopes to facilitate healing in others with her words. Erica Nicole’s work addresses an array of topics including mental health, sexual & domestic violence & queerness. Erica Nicole has 3 short length books of poetry and has had her work published in 310 Brown Street’s Texas Slamthology, Z Publishing House’s Texas’s Best Emerging Poets: An Anthology, and The Halcyone’s upcoming 64 Best Poets of 2018.
