Ai is from Vietnam and is studying Architecture intending to specialize in the field of disaster relief housing. They experienced their first panic at the age of 7 as a result of childhood sexual trauma. Since then they have battled severe eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and ongoing PTSD. With their performance, they hope to inspire as they have been inspired. They say this about being a part of This Is My Brave, “The fights [I’ve fought] have never been easy, but what helped me out of the spiral each and every time was seeing people like me surfing through their waves. I aspire to do the same, which is why I wanted to be a part of this wonderful program.”
