This Is My Brave Theme Song Competition
Applications are currently being accepted for This Is My Brave’s theme song competition!
This Is My Brave is in search of a singer/songwriter to create an upbeat, original theme song for the organization. This song has the potential to be the opening song to our storytelling shows, just as the Sara Bareilles song ‘Brave’ was our unofficial theme song for the past 6 years. It needs to be as inspiring, uplifting and powerful as our storytellers, full of the hopeful message that recovery is possible and you are never alone.
Inspiration might come from examples of popular songs we love:
- Fight Song by Rachel Platten
- This Is Me by Kaela Settle (from The Greatest Showman)
- You Will Be Found from Dear Evan Hansen
- Just Like Fire by P!nk
Deadline to submit: Monday, August 31st by 12pm
Rules:
- All ages welcome to apply
- Only 1 entry per singer/songwriter/band
- Only original music and lyrics may be submitted
What’s in it for the artist? Winner of the competition will receive 4 hours in a recording studio in your city to professionally record the song! 3 runners-up will be featured on the This Is My Brave website and social media (photos and links to your songs) and will receive This Is My Brave tee-shirts.

4 Finalists will be selected by Monday, August 31st. Winner will be notified by September 30th. (This Is My Brave’s Board of Directors reserves the right to make the final decision on the winning song.)
