Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month

This vlog is part of This Is My Brave’s 2022 Awareness Days campaign. The month of April is nationally recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month. TIMB alum Savanna Blu (National Teen Show 2021) is sharing her story to help us continue our mission to put faces and names to stories of recovery. We are grateful for our alumni community that continues to show up and lead the way in ending the stigma surrounding mental health conditions.

About Savanna:

Savanna Blu is a proud This Is My Brave alum from 2021’s virtual National Teen Show. As a self-classified storyteller, way-finder, and aspiring anonymous good-deed-doer, Savanna shares her stories as a songwriter & recording artist (as well as ghost-writing for other artists). She also loves any chance to share other people’s stories through her love for theatre. You can find any of her releases (including her EP Follow Where It Goes & latest single “Something To Cry About”) on all digital music platforms. Mental Health advocacy & awareness holds a colossal amount of priority in both Savanna’s artistry & day-to-day conversations. Having grown up with anxiety & depression, she’s committed to sharing her experience on navigating that through her transition into adulthood, in all its coming-of-age glory (and sometimes, misery). Her hope is to continue an extremely critical dialogue & point of relatability for the millions of people who carry the weight of mental health struggles silently.

To keep up with even more of Savanna’s storytelling, you can find her on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook @SavannaBlu132. You can also check out her current discography on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and anywhere else you listen to music.
