What is #ChiChiSweatSesh? A monthly gathering of the Chi Chi Life fitness + wellness community. Join us for a heart-pumping workout followed by a potluck picnic in Central Park. This is a collaborative, unique event in that we're partnering with a local playwright and This Is My Brave alumni storyteller, Kit Lisle, who has penned his first play entitled: Stigma. The event will include a staged reading (the debut!) of this new play, and will feature This Is My Brave storytellers in between the acts of the play.

Auditions will be held at the San Marco Library (Study Room) (Address: 1513 Lasalle St, Jacksonville) on February 11th from 1-4pm. You must have an audition reservation to attend.

Individuals who have struggled with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, suicide attempts, autism spectrum, schizophrenia, and others are encouraged to craft an artistic piece and tell their story in essay, poetry, original music or comedy. Caregivers are also encouraged to tell their side of the story. Mental health knows no bounds of age and neither does this event. All ages are welcome to express their story. Due to the nature of some stories, the show often carries a PG rating.

The Des Moines show is Friday, March 31st at the Temple Theatre.

We’re seeking amateurs who have a talent in writing, comedy or music. Each essay, original song, comedy set or poem must not exceed 5 minutes in length. Think of your piece as a “snippet” of your life, rather than your entire life story. Practice your piece in front of a mirror and time it to make sure you are able to read it within the time limit, without rushing through.
