Are you interested in becoming a Brave Ambassador? Fill out this form, and we will follow up with more information!
This Is My Brave is looking for passionate storytellers, advocates, and outside-of-the-box thinkers who want to make a difference by building the Brave Community where they live, work, or hang out!
Brave Ambassadors will be volunteer affiliates of This Is My Brave who can spread the love of who we are and what we do in their respective communities. Every demographic, community, profession, and person has a story they can share. Want to reach out to local first responders? Teachers? Teens, senior citizens, or single parents? The opportunities are endless, and we want people who are excited about advancing the mission and vision of This Is My Brave to be the face and voice of Brave in their areas. If that’s something that excites you, let us know below!
This Is My Brave’s goal is to equip, empower, and engage community members across the country who are committed to raising awareness and beginning conversations surrounding mental health.
When will Brave Ambassadors begin?
Brave Ambassador sign-ups are now open! Welcome packets will be delivered (via email) on a rolling basis. This Is My Brave will host a virtual kick-off in May to welcome Brave Ambassadors into the community.
What do Brave Ambassadors have to do?
Brave Ambassadors will be asked to do all of the following:
- Attend a Suicide Prevention training through a nonprofit partner, Hope for the Day.
- Commit 1-3 hours per month to promote Brave in your community
- Attend quarterly meetings with TIMB Staff and other Brave Ambassadors to brainstorm, report, and advise.
- Check in with Brave at six-month intervals to let us know how things are going!
After that, the sky is the limit! We invite Brave Ambassadors to share Brave’s message in a way that suits them.
Who is eligible to be a Brave Ambassador?
Anyone who has participated in or attended a Brave show can be a Brave Ambassador (virtual show alumni included). This Is My Brave will market Brave Ambassadors to community members nationwide.
How will this program benefit a Brave Ambassador’s community?
Brave Ambassadors have the power to change the culture of their communities when it comes to mental health. They have the power to smash the stigma of mental health matters for future generations. They can make neighborhood professionals, caregivers, students, teachers, or others feel heard, validated, and empowered. Brave Ambassadors will empower others to Be Brave with Us to break down stigma and let others know they are not alone!
