Born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia, I graduated from Wheeling Central in 1986 and headed west a few years later. I spent 15 years in the bustling suburbs of Chicago before returning to the Friendly City, where I live with my husband, DJ, and three of the coolest humans ever born (our children), Zack, Odessa and Tyler.
I have a deep love of photography, and am most at peace when focusing on the beauty of nature through the lens of my camera. I feel such exhilaration when I know I’ve captured that perfect moment, the one that no one else saw, and then it becomes MY perfect moment.
I work as the administrative secretary for the Academic Support Center at West Virginia Northern Community College, where I assist students with special needs. Our department is a powerful resource for students who deal with a wide array of social, mental, and physical challenges, and I feel so fortunate to be the person to welcome them, to encourage and support them, and to celebrate their success with them. I think that my living with anxiety helps me to be a bit more empathetic and less judgmental. Fear not, my friend, I’ve got your back!
