NAMI Northern Virginia is thrilled to announce our Northern Virginia This Is My Brave show taking place on April 5, 2018 at Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun campus!
Auditions are now open and will take place over three dates in January around the Northern Virginia area. See below for the dates and to schedule a time to audition.
In the meantime, we’re excited to introduce the production team helping to organize this inspiring show:
Jeanne Comeau: President & CEO
Jeanne is passionate about improving the lives of individuals living with a mental health condition, educating and supporting family members, and raising awareness in the community. Since 2009, Jeanne has combined her passion for helping to empower others with her technical background and business experience to help reach over 9,000 Northern Virginians annually. Jeanne is excited about bringing This Is My Brave to Northern Virginia to help bring awareness to mental health and to give the community a voice through which to share their powerful journeys toward wellness.
Christina Gray: Communications & Events
Christina works on all communications and events initiatives for NAMI Northern Virginia in order to support the organization’s mission to offer help to those affected by mental health conditions. Christina is looking forward to helping people share their personal journeys through This Is My Brave.
Esther Lee: Program Coordinator
Esther works closely with individual and family member volunteers to coordinate NAMI Northern Virginia’s education and support programs. These year-round programs provide help and hope. Esther is excited to see amazing talents and their inspiring stories through This is My Brave.
Laura Makl: Program Coordinator
Laura works closely with dedicated volunteers to coordinate NAMI Northern Virginia’s presentation programs, all of which focus on advocacy through personal narratives. Laura is excited to help people share their stories in a new, creative way through This Is My Brave.
Kristen Marks, MSW: Program Director
Since 2010, Kristen has directed NAMI Northern NAMI Northern Virginia’s education and support programs for individuals living with a mental health condition, family members and the community. Kristen enjoys supporting a growing community of peers and family members who are eager to share hope and awareness. She is grateful to all the brave performers willing to share their stories through This Is My Brave!
