Jane Schockey is native to the Ohio Valley and currently lives in Wheeling. She is the Church Administrator and Christian Education Director of Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church in Woodsdale and is currently an Inquirer to be an Ordained Minister in the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America (PCUSA). Her passion is to pastor families to worship God, walk in the Spirit, and witness Christ together. She is here today because she wants to be bold about the importance of medication, therapy and faith in her quest for mental health.
Jane has been singing and playing guitar for 20 years and her piece shares how she was able to move past fear of imperfection to a place where she keeps trying and never gives up. Perfectionism is just the tip of the iceberg for those like her struggling with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but she has found her hope in her family, faith, creativity, and pets. She encourages others to never give up hope!
