Meet our Boston Production Team & Auditions open!

From Elizabeth:

I am delighted to be producing the This is My Brave Show again in Boston for the 2018 season. My experience with the 2017 show exceeded my wildest expectations and I am eager to hear more incredible stories of those living well with mental illness. With each new performer, we are one step closer to ending the stigma surrounding mental illness.

This year Angela Kaloudis will join me as Co-Producer! Angela’s assistance to our 2017 show was invaluable and I am thrilled she signed on for 2018. Angela brings with her both her expertise as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and her enthusiasm for mental health advocacy. The Boston 2018 show comes with additional excitement this year because This Is My Brave was awarded a highly-competitive Inspiration Grant from Alkermes to fund a documentary film about the impact of sharing stories of recovery from mental illness and addiction and the some of the performers of the 2018 Boston show will be featured in this documentary.

From Angela:

Originally from New York, I moved to Boston to pursue a degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine. I am a Team Leader at The Renfrew Center of Boston working with individuals with eating disorders and other co-occurring diagnoses. As a passionate advocate of all things having to do with vulnerability and connection, I strive to empower people to live more authentic and brave lives.

In my spare time, you can find me playing with [and Instagramming for] my pup, Apollo, enjoying time with friends, or with a book in my hand, most likely one written by Brene Brown.

Elizabeth started out as a colleague and supervisor and soon became a dear friend. I offered to help as a volunteer for the 2017 This is My Brave Boston show and was, as always, inspired by her passion for helping others share their story. I’m so thrilled to be able to help her out with the Boston show this year.
