My name is Kylie Magnusson and I am 15 years old. I am the oldest of four kids, two boys and two girls. I love sewing, baking, and just arts and crafts in general.
I struggle with many mental health issues, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, and Autism spectrum disorder. Doing day to day things is hard, but I somehow struggle through it. My illnesses makes it hard to go to school, or social events, or even just be around people.
I decided to do This is My Brave because I’m tired of feeling like I’m not heard or respected.
I get treatment through medicine and therapy. I have recently embraced the idea of self care. I “self medicate” by trying to get more sleep, putting my energy, when I have it, into creative and productive outlets, and journaling.
I’m doing this to help myself and others learn about mental illness so that we can progress.
