Our Boise show is only four days away! Do you have your tickets yet? Today we are proud to introduce you to cast member Jodi Peterson.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Jodi Peterson and I am originally from Southern California. I am the youngest of three girls and grew up in a home with a Mom and Dad who loved each other and their girls and remained married until my mother died in 2009.
How has mental illness affected your life?
I was introduced to mental in illness in 2010 and my life has been ever changed because of it.
Why did you want to be a part of This Is My Brave?
I wanted to be a part of This Is My Brave to share a story of love, loss, and lessons learned.
What inspires you to stay mentally healthy?
I am inspired everyday by the guests I served at Interfaith Sanctuary Shelter to stay balanced and take good care of me so I can continue to fight the good fight for them and others who suffer with no support system to hold them up.
What do you hope the audience will take away from the show?
I hope that people leave this event with something new in their heads and their hearts that helps them with their own struggles or has given them new tools to help the ones they love who struggle.
On February 18th, Jodi will take the stage with her castmates and together they will share their true, personal stories through the artistic avenues of poetry, original music and essay, live on stage.
We're ending stigma one person, and one story at a time.
