May Shows Launch on YouTube + Oprah Magazine

Our May shows are now available for viewing on our YouTube channel!

This past May was our biggest season to date, with This Is My Brave shows being held in FIVE cities. We met 67 new storytellers and got to witness their bravery as they took to the stage to shine a light on a topic we often times shy away from: mental illness. Now you can view their performances from the comfort of your own home or mobile device.

These stories provide hope for the future. Told by individuals who have, and continue to triumph over the invisible conditions that are mental illness, our storytellers have chosen to speak out. They know we are making a difference in the lives of those still struggling simply by sharing these true, raw, emotional truths. You will laugh, you will cry. You will not be the same after you’ve experienced a This Is My Brave show.

You may be inspired to share your own story. It’s when we share our stories that we open up the conversation, and storytelling saves lives.

“I have found my voice. And I will use it for those who have yet to do so. Because we are not alone.”

— Kait Skaggs, This Is My Brave Iowa City
