Live Bravely and Give Bravely on Giving Tuesday

It's GIVING TUESDAY!

Every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, charities and nonprofits around the country kick off the giving season with #GivingTuesday. Through the power of social media, organizations such as This Is My Brave aim to empower individuals like you to join causes you care about and help support efforts that mean something to you and the ones you love.

What started as a Kickstarter in 2013, has grown into a national movement thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Co-Founders, Staff, Volunteers and Supporters. By the end of 2017, This Is My Brave will have put on 35 shows with over 500 participants bravely sharing their personal stories through essay, poetry, music, comedy and more. We hope to continue to grow and bring more shows to more communities each year, but we need your help.

For #GivingTuesday this year, we ask that you join This Is My Brave

Help support our mission of fighting the stigma that is still associated with mental illness. Any donation --small or large-- helps us to continue to bring our shows to more communities around the country and give a voice to those willing to share their story.

This year, we ask that you Live Bravely and Give Bravely with us. We will be sharing videos throughout the day from former brave cast members, staff and other advocates who wish to add their voices. We also ask that you use the #UNselfie template on our page to help spread the word. All you have to do is print the template, write why giving to This Is My Brave is important to you, then share a picture on social media using #UNselfie and #GiveBravely.

We will be reposting your #UnSelfies, thanking those who donate and posting live updates throughout the day so make sure you’re following This Is My Brave on all of our social media platforms. We’re proud to have supporters like you that help us fight the stigma of mental illness, one person and one story at a time.
