Why produce a show? We believe in the power of storytelling to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness. Our shows are a live presentation of touching essays, original music, poetry, comedy, and more. Each story is performed by individuals living with – or loving someone with – a mental illness. Shows are held in cities and towns across the country, virtually or in-person.
This Is My Brave is a model that provides the process, training, and research to invest in individual and community transformations through storytelling. Our model teaches people how to come together to use their mental illness and addiction stories to create a healing and inspiring community event.
