Stories from the Black Community

“This Is My Brave is a movement of storytellers sharing their authentic stories of healing, recovery and resilience. I am excited to share that we are working to produce a special segment focused on a shining light and amplifying voices within the Black community.”

– Dr. Tonicia Freeman-Foster, Co-Producer

This Is My Brave had the honor to work with Dr. Tonicia Freeman-Foster and Dr. Kya Conner to produce two unique shows featuring Stories from the Black Community as a kick off to 2021.

Starting the conversation about mental health is tough, but it is so important — especially now — in a time when the world is grappling with its long- standing history of systematic racism and protests against police brutality. Right now, important conversations regarding the mental health and wellness of African Americans are being brought to the surface. We are especially proud to provide a platform where Black individuals from around the country can authentically share their Brave.
