Sandy Kamel shares “The Scars to my Beautiful”

Sandy Kamel is Egyptian and currently a Therapist for an Acute Partial Hospitalization Program. She works with kids and teens who struggle with their diagnosis, have trouble communicating their emotions effectively and helps them with interventions they can use daily. When Sandy is not at work, she serves at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church , where she serves high school Sunday School. Her family and faith are very important to her, and her main goal is to always cultivate kindness and to help end the stigma on mental health in the Egyptian community. When she is not attempting to be Wonder Woman, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and cute little doggy, Cupcake! You can also catch Sandy at the gym, routing for her favorite sports teams, and just being her bubbly self!

Sandy shares her story in the This Is My Brave Elkins Park 2018 show.
