“The Neil Gaiman at the End of the Universe” Audible Original Benefit & World Premiere

On Wednesday March 17, 2021, This Is My Brave had the honor of being the beneficiary organization of an Audible Original “The Neil Gaiman at the End of the Universe” world premiere. Immediately following the premiere was a live panel discussion hosted by producer Michael Patrick Jann (Reno 911!, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), creator Arvind Ethan David (Producer of Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill), Neil Gaiman, Jewel Staite, and This Is My Brave’s co-founder and Executive Director, Jennifer Marshall. The panel explored issues and themes in the piece and in This Is My Brave’s work, including the effects of isolation on a person’s mental and physical well-being.

Event Summary

A man awakens, adrift in deep space, with little memory of who he is – only to discover that he is the commander of a space mission; the rest of the crew is gone; and he is apparently a writer of some small renown named Neil Gaiman.

The Neil Gaiman at the End of the Universe is perfect for fans of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and Black Mirror. It stars Neil Gaiman as… well, you know, and Jewel Staite (Firefly; Stargate Atlantis), and is written by Arvind Ethan David, executive producer of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.
