We share this song in loving memory of Katelyn Restin who hoped to perform with the Hampton Roads cast in 2020. Her life was lost before she could appear in the show. Katelyn wrote the song  “How Great You Are” for a friend who needed encouragement in a dark time. Katelyn was a natural singer and songwriter. Even from a young age she was drawn to the microphone. She performed as a teen with her father and his band, at open mics and at karaoke with her friends. Katelyn had a gift for recognizing beauty in all those she encountered and helped friends and family to see the world through this lens. She inspired so many in her short time in this world. Her legacy of light lives on in those who loved her, including her young daughter, Aaliyah.
