Nancy Rosado shares her story about PTSD

Nancy Rosado is a retired NYPD Sergeant with over 35 years of combined professional experience in mental health, law enforcement, community affairs and training. She possesses a MSW from New York’s Fordham University, a certification in Traumatic Stress from Florida State University and was a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. A survivor of the World Trade Center attack, Nancy went on to create the Department’s mental health response for NYPD’s on-scene first responders. Subsequent to the terrorist attack on Pulse Night Club, Nancy along with three other Latin women founded Somos Orlando, which has, as its primary mission, the culturally and linguistically competent delivery of long term mental health services for anyone impacted by the attack at Pulse.
