Kathy Huedepohl has lived in Iowa City since 1990. She has struggled with emotional problems her whole life and was diagnosed with depression at the age of 18.  In 2014 she bought a house with the help of a city program and got a promotion at work which allowed her to go off Disability for the first time ever.  She lives with three fur babies, 2 cats DeeDee and Antoinette and a dog, Ella.  Kathy currently works on a crisis line helping others because she knows what it’s like.  Kathy has chosen to share an experience from earlier in her illness as many people know she experiences depression but they don’t know what she went through before working on recovery.
