Angele is a community development professional, an actress, and a singer-songwriter who performs under the name HEMA (with a few other side-hustles going at any given time). Angele is passionate about mental health advocacy and has worked hard to live more openly and honestly with her own mental health challenges since being formally diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety in 2013. She is performing in This is My Brave as a way to use her voice to encourage others to find that courage to be more open about their own lives, the triumphs and the struggles.
