Joe Sorensen is a singer-songwriter from Cedar Rapids, Iowa who sings about his hospitalization for suicidal ideation. He auditioned for the Kansas City production of This Is My Brave at the request of one of his friends. Joe has participated in productions of This Is My Brave in Iowa, and he’s excited to spend time with Kansas City’s cast. Joe uses music to share his experiences with generalized anxiety disorder and major depressive disorder, and he hopes others will feel a sense of belonging and worth when they hear him sing.
