Mark Walters sings a tribute to those who valiantly face depression on the stage of This Is My Brave DeKalb in 2019. Mark has been playing music around the Northern Illinois area in a variety of capacities for the last 15 years. He spent most of his twenties working with children and young adults struggling with the burden of mental health issues, as well as attempting to maintain his own mental health and wellness. He feels privileged and honored to be a part of such an outstandingly brave group of performers as he performs in the 2019 DeKalb IL show!

Mental health isn’t always necessarily losing touch with daily reality or daily struggle and your will to live. Sometimes it’s just a bad day at work. I’ve always had a tendency to throw my mental health into my music.”
